Houston County Fire Department

Houston County Fire Department (HCFD) serves approximately 8,283 residents within a 207 square mile radius.  HCFD operates out of 3 stations with 7 officers, 1 chaplain, 18 firefighters, and 4 support personnel.  The fire department is staffed with one part-time chief and the remaining of the crew are volunteers. HCFD also provides automatic/mutual aid response with the City of Erin and Tennessee Ridge fire departments.  We also stand ready to assist surrounding counties as requested.

In addition to fire suppression and prevention, the HCFD also provides light and heavy rescue, water rescue, and emergency medical first response.
